Privacy Policy

Welcome to Sanatan Marg: Mandir, Panchang ("App", "we", "our", or "us"), developed and operated by SNOWPEX TECHNOLOGIES. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information you give us

• Account: Your account is created automatically and identified by a device ID; there is no sign-up form. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier.
• Profile: The name, description and profile photo you add, your chosen Ishta Devta, language and practice level.
• Practice: Jap sessions, sankalps, daily sadhna logs, quiz answers, diyas and bookmarks.
• Kundli: The date, time and place of birth you enter.
• AI guides: The questions you ask and the conversation history.
• Pooja bookings and donations: The sankalp name, gotra, purpose, phone number and delivery address for prasad, and the amount and status of each payment.
• Support: Anything you send us by email.

b. Information collected automatically

• Device information: Device ID, manufacturer, model and operating system version.
• Location: If you allow location access, your phone's location is sent to our servers to calculate the panchang for where you are. Without it, the App uses a default city.
• Usage data: Features you use and screens you view.
• Advertising identifiers: Your device's advertising ID and Meta's anonymous app ID, used to measure how well our ads work.
• Notifications: A push token, so we can send the notifications you allow.
• Subscriptions: Purchase and renewal status from Google Play.
• Log data: IP address and request times on our servers.

c. Service providers

These companies process data for us, each only for the purpose listed. Some of them process data outside India.

• Mixpanel: Product analytics: which features are used, with your device ID, and your name and email address if you have signed in with Google. Stored in Mixpanel's EU data centre.
• Meta Platforms: Measuring our app advertising: app installs and opens, purchase events, and your device's advertising ID. RevenueCat also sends subscription events to Meta.
• RevenueCat: Managing Sanatan Plus subscriptions: purchase and renewal history, your account ID and device identifiers.
• Google: Sign-in (Firebase Authentication), notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), subscription billing (Google Play) and live darshan videos (YouTube).
• Razorpay: Processing payments for donations and pooja bookings. Card and UPI details are entered with Razorpay and never reach us.
• OpenAI and DeepSeek: Answering the questions you ask the AI guides, and writing kundli readings from your birth chart.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To run the App's features: panchang for your location, kundli, AI guides, sadhna tracking and the notifications you turn on.
• To process donations, pooja bookings and subscriptions, and to deliver prasad.
• To understand how the App is used and improve it.
• To measure the results of our advertising. The App itself does not show ads.
• To respond to your queries and provide customer support.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these cases:

• Service providers: The companies listed in section 1c, for the purposes listed there.
• Temples and delivery partners: The sankalp details needed to perform a pooja you book, and the name, phone number and address needed to deliver prasad.
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred with prior notice.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from More → Delete my account in the App. Records of payments are kept after deletion because we are required to maintain them. See Delete Your Account for exactly what is deleted and what is kept.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and data.
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
• Data portability (where applicable).

You can also turn off location access or notifications in your phone's settings, and reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings under Google → Ads. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@snowpex.com.

6. Children's Privacy

Sanatan Marg: Mandir, Panchang is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page or through an in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
