About Ratha Saptami· महत्व
The day is dedicated to the Sun god. Devotees bathe before sunrise with arka (calotropis) leaves placed on the head and offer arghya to the rising Sun. At Tirumala the deity is taken out on seven vahanas through the day, a celebration often called a one-day Brahmotsavam.
