Kajari Teej 2026कजरी तीज

Hindu date: Bhadrapada Krishna Tritiya (Shravana Krishna Tritiya in the Amanta calendar).

It is kept on the day that tithi is current at sunrise.

Dates are calculated for New Delhi. In other cities, and especially outside India, the tithi changes at a different local time, so a festival can fall a day earlier or later. Month names follow the Purnimanta calendar used in North India, where a month ends on Purnima. How we calculate

It falls three days after Raksha Bandhan and is kept in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Women worship Neemdi Mata at a neem branch, fast through the day and break the fast after offering water to the rising moon. Kajari folk songs of the rainy season give the day its name.
