How the dates are fixed· तिथि निर्णय
Hindu date: Trayodashi of each fortnight, at twilight.
Pradosh Vrat is kept on the day Trayodashi covers Pradosh Kaal, the twilight after sunset. If it covers the whole of Pradosh on one day, that day; if it touches Pradosh on two days without covering either, the first.
Dates are for New Delhi; elsewhere they can differ by a day. Month names follow the Purnimanta calendar used in North India, where a month ends on Purnima.
